ABOUT THE MICH PROFESSIONAL ASSOCIATION

The MICH Professional Association provides a supportive environment for the continued professional development of MICH homeopaths. The association defines and upholds the standards of practice for its members, and guarantees that every MICH homeopath works diligently and ethically in the client-homeopath collaborative journey towards wellness.

The community spirit created by the non-competitive, open and mutually supportive atmosphere at MICH continues to live on beyond graduation.

MICH offers stimulating and inspiring continuing education courses, case supervision, case management, marketing support, and community activities for their grads. Grads regularly meet to share cases, information from workshops and conferences, remedies and discoveries. Our graduates also took the incentive to create their own association: the MICH Professional Association. MICHPA is a non-profit organization dedicated to bringing homeopathy to those in need; to bring greater public awareness of homeopathy; and to provide a community of support to the MICH Alumni as they develop their practices. One central project of the association is the MICH clinic in Honduras, offering free health care to those who have none.

MICHPA Members contribute and benefit by collectively supporting our clinic in Honduras, publishing and sharing their successes, marketing their services,  and organizing continuing education events. They continue to develop open inquiry as the primary method to explore new horizons and to work collectively within the Association.

Color: Only color profile photos will be posted in the directory.

Clear Photos: Make sure your photo is clear, not blurry or covered by shadows.

 FAQ’s

  • Why do I have to submit my bio in both languages if I’m uni-lingual?

Biographies will be listed in both languages even if the homeopath only practices in English or French. It’s possible that many local visitors will navigate the website in one language or the other and be equally comfortable consulting a homeopath in either language as well.

  • I joined MICHPA in 2013 – When do I need to renew?

Yearly fees must be paid in full by December in order for the member to have the privilege of participation.

  • I’m a MICH student – Can I join MICHPA?

Yes, MICH students can and have joined MICHPA! There is now a student MICHPA blog section in the works which will include a space for you to write about your MICH experience, as well as a profile page which will be similar to the professional directory.  N.B. Student members will not be listed on the professional directory or map page.

  • Some MICHPA members have links to full page biographies/webpage on the MICH website. Is this included in my membership?

Because they require the creation of a web page, link, and ongoing management, full page biographies have a one-time additional fee of $75.00.  In this way, you have a searchable webpage, which is even better than having your own individual website because it will benefit from the heightened visibility on search engines due to the high volume of traffic and visibility of the MICH website. They are meant to provide you with a space for more information about you and replace the necessity of you having the costs and maintenance of a website of your own. Email Suzana at Suzana@michmontreal.com if you’re interested in having a full page bio. Click here if you want to see an example of what your page could look like.

  • What about blog posts? Can anyone at MICH submit a blog post?

Only MICHPA members can submit blog posts to the MICH website. See the guidelines in “Blogging Tips and Tricks” section below.

  • What is the difference between student memberships and professional memberships?

Student membership is available to current MICH students who have not yet completed their diploma.  Their profiles may be listed on the ‘Current Students’ page in the Professional Training section of the website and they are welcome to contribute blog posts.

Professional membership is reserved for students who have graduated.  Their profiles are listed in the ‘MICH Professional Directory’ in the ‘Holistic Health Services’ of the site as well as our map page: ‘Find a homeopath near you’. They are also welcome to contribute blog posts for the newsletter and website.
